Visual Basic Excel CSV File Parser

Formatted Import File Creator (Excel, CSV, and Text File Parser) A? fairly simple Visual Basic application, and the source code, to parse a number of large input files to produce a syntactically correct output file set. 1. Input files may be of the following four types: ? ? ? a) Excel Data file #1? (see attached file) ? ? ? b) Excel Data File #2.? Processing of the text files must be in three stages: ? ? ? a) Read The Input File ? ? ? b) Display the Data and Allow the User to Edit/Modify/Delete/Add data ? ? ? c) Produce the Three Output Files 4. The Data Display Section (III.2 above) must provide a global view of the data and the ability to select and edit any specific data row.? When a data row is selected, the data must be presented in a format similar to the panels shown in the attached requirements doc with the data populated in the appropriate fields.? There should also be a control to allow the user to move forward and backward through the data in this view.? ? ? 5. The system you deliver must be a Visual Basic application that runs on Windows XP systems as follows: ? ? ? b) It is acceptable to write a complete VB application or use Microsoft Excel VB Extensions to make this process work within Excel.? If you chose to do this in Excel, the interface must still be intuitive for the user and provide button controls and clear process flow to guide the user from the start of the process to the end. ? ? ? h) Deliverable must be a working system running on my development and production workstations, including associated scripts and source code, in line documentation, and instructions describing installation and recompilation of your code in my development environment. ? ? ? i) The application and source code must successfully compile in my environment.? ## Deliverables Please see attached requirements doc and sample input and output files. A couple points to clarify: 1. The free form Excel input file column headers should use the column headers shown at the top of the three output files (the lines begin with '##'. 2. The input files could be large. I will need to understand the maximum size an input file your application can handle. If your application can handle 20,000 lines, great. If not, not a huge problem, I just need to know what it can handle.
