An application that can automatically find, filter, and display clearance items from Officedepot.com. [login to view URL] updates clearance items daily. I frequent web sites that automatically pull and update the items on clearance. (See [login to view URL]) for an example. Their clearances go through stages set nationally with prices *.01 through *.04. Getting useful items at stage 4 is optimal, but inventory is limited. To find inventory by going to the shopping cart, select 'store pickup.' Select a store from the list. You can then search for the items and, if it is in stock, it will show up. (on-line inventory only updated daily, so this is still innacurate. So the application I would be looking for would locate items in the 4 stages of clearance, search stores for inventory, display the items where they are still in inventory along with links, pictures, store links and store contact info. Filters should include the ability to limit the search to a region by zip-code range or state, by stage of clearance, keyword, and exclusion keywords. The application should have sort options. The application should also have alert keywords that send e-mail alerts when a keyword item is found. The application basically automates a manual task. If done as a Windows application, then I would need to have the ability to view as a web page and export to a spreadsheet or other common data format. This would be the preferred option, however I am also willing to consider bids for the application done as a host-side server application that displays in a web page and automatically updates a data file that can be used or exported as above. If this project goes well, I may commision a larger project that does the same for CostCo, Staples, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, OfficeMax and other stores.
