API Updates (Laravel 7)

I need a PHP / Laravel 7 expert to make some small changes to my client API for https://api.armchairanalysis.com. Here are more details: My API uses Laravel and I need to extend my API controllers to be able to tell what user level a user's subscription is when making calls (the level is called 'product_name' in the table). Laravel knows out of the box to look for a table called users within my armchair_nfldata DB I think it's just standard [login to view URL] conventions so that's kind of a black box. Essentially I need to expose the 'product_name' variable in my controllers so I can use different Transformers on API calls. Not sure if this is maybe something that is best done in middleware? I am attaching my user table. The issue at hand is that some subscribers who are 'PRO' don't get back as much data as 'MAX' on certain calls.
