PHP: write acceptance tests for a PHP app using Codeception

I have a legacy PHP application that I will be fully refactoring in the following months. I need a set of tests written for the app to automate testing and find any issues during refactoring. The app is coded in "functional" style (functions rather than classes) with everything mixed in files (code + sql + html), so unit testing is not available. Hence the need to have automated testing using acceptance tests instead. Codeception ([login to view URL]) will be used to run the acceptance tests so experience with Codeception is a big plus. Your job is to use the app, find common functions and write tests for it. You can install the app on your localhost or I can provide a working online app for you to use and test. I expect that up to 100 tests (most of them simple) will be needed to cover most of the functionality.
