Error while using matplotlib (Bid less than 15 or will not be accepted)

Hi, I am getting the following error when running any matplotlib plot. i am using Python 2.7. The error is: AttributeError: 'figure()' is not a Qt property or a signal This error is probably similar to these issues discussed here: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] Probably fixed in this commit but doesnt work for me [login to view URL] Basically makes some changes to [login to view URL] in matplotlib I am using the following version: Matplotlib: 2.0.0 Numpy - 1.13.3-1
