The name of our organization is Bridge Counseling Associates, Inc. We provide outpatient services for behavioral health. Services include: crisis mental health services, substance abuse, primary screening and monitoring, psychiatric rehabilitation services, targeted case management, medicine management and more. We are about 50% grant funded and 50% Medicaid and private insurance.
We implemented Cerner Integrated Behavioral Health Solutions in March 2021 and are still experiencing a high percentage of input errors (20%) from clinicians in the PowerChart application that prevent billing for the services. Training was provided live during the implementation period and videos were prepared as "refreshers". However clinicians do not have any quick guide reference material, screen shots or other training and operation guides. Clearly, we can deduce from the high error rate that clinicians are not taking the time to refer back to the videos. We would like to produce quick guides for the most common processes (and where the most errors occur) and other written training and operational materials for reference and onboarding. The videos could be used to assist in developing the written training material
In addition, we have a high turnover in the front desk registration and scheduling and do not have training documentation specific to Bridge, thus training is strictly person to person, costly and time consuming. This need is especially critical as we are shorthanded and are interviewing potential staff. This is our #1 priority although both projects are critical to our bottom line. I am uploading the 'generic" guides used for the initial training.
