I need somebody to translate some English content to German for me. The content is travel related (about holiday accommodation and city descriptions) and consist of 52,516 words total (263,673 characters without the spaces) Requirements: - candidates must be with a good command of English and proficiency in German language - travel writing background is a big plus (candidates who are able to show some previous work regarding travel content translations will have an advantage ) Candidates with German mother tongue will have an advantage. Candidates who send me translated the example text below will also have an advantage. "The capital of Tyrol region in Austria, Innsbruck is a great place for a visit and a romantic holiday. Breathtakingly beautiful, this marvelous city attracts visitors with its appealing old town with well-kept buildings from the Middle Ages, large perfectly landscaped gardens, marvelous castles and great Innsbruck accommodation. Hi, given the budget range you specified, you either don't care about getting a qualitative translation or this is the first time you're buying a translation. In case of the latter, please, read the ATA's "Guide to Buying Translations" and give your project some thought. How important is your text to you? How many people will read it? Is it ok if there are errors on every other page? The price you're offering - forgive me for being that blunt - is a slap in the face of professional translators. You're asking for some 1.5 cents per word. Subtract taxes and the translator will receive less than a babysitter. Do you really expect to get qualitative work for such a price? Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming you. Many people don't understand how to calculate prices for qualitative translations. Long story short: If your project is important to you and your budget range was a mistake, I'd love to hear back from you and provide you with samples and everything else you need.
