As the Systems Administrator for the James Frizelle’s Group for the past 10 years I have facilitated IT Systems that have allowed the Group to more than double in size to over 500 staff. During this process I also provided their users with the flexibility to engage with various endpoint devices through the implementation of VMware Horizon Virtual Desktops. This process has been one of the most satisfying of my career and I am now looking for a role that will allow me a more flexible lifestyle but still find satisfaction through producing quality work and happy users.
When I first started with the Group I was the primary IT contact answering the Helpdesk line and in 5 Years developed and managed the department to become a self-sufficient unit, operating a Helpdesk system with 3 Technicians supporting 300+ endpoints. Basing the policies of the Helpdesk on a strict process based model allows for a team to be confident in the steps required to resolve issues in a manner that meets, or exceed, the expectations of the clients to our services. I have had the opportunity to obtain a deep working knowledge and a high level of experience in systems including Microsoft Server 2003/2008/2012, AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Exchange 2010, VMWare vSphere and Horizon, Mitel VOIP, SQL, ERP and Dell Archive, Blade Servers switches and storage.
