This request is a 'consulation' with documentation deliverables. This is an interactive, iterative process. As buyer, I promise to provide efficient, timely feedback during the course of the creation.
Seeking an experienced corporate ASP.NET (C#) web developer to help design a policy framework for development management. This will involve a combination of personal experience and research to help a new devlopment manager (me) define processes for a development team. This will be a COLLABERATIVE effort where deliverable will be a Word doc specifying:
1) Standards for 'naming conventions' to be used by all developers in creation of database objects (procedures, views) as well as page controls (drop-lists, text boxes, etc) and file naming.
2) Generally accepted, DAL-based input / data insertion mechanism. I have seen several coding styles, and am seeking a model / guidelines that can be defined, which steer developers toward using a standard input/output method that can easily be adheared to.
3) Outline (sourced from whitepaper, article, books) describing proper development strategies for building n-tier web applications.
4) Creation of a work template for developers to communicate object and page adjustments to deployment packaging analyst.
5) User authenitication best practices, considerations.
6) Generic error trapping.
7) Anything else you consider to be of value.
Fundamentally, the framework will be used to encourage an efficient development model for new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
