Attached is a Word doc and PowerPoint that should help form the foundation for this project. What I'm looking for is a roughly 15 page white paper on how employers can and should use social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, and LinkedIn for recruiting Gen Y workers.
The Word doc has a lot of good information but I'm unhappy with how it flows and how there's so much information it about Gen Y characteristics with those characteristics either being irrelevant to the recruiting using social networking sites subject or not being clearly tied to that subject. I don't mind seeing the discussion of the characteristics if they're relevant but tell me how they're relevant. The paper doesn't do that.
Also attached is a PowerPoint for a presentation on this topic that I'll be giving in late May. I speak and write a lot about this topic. Run a search at [login to view URL] using the keyword "Facebook" in the upper right corner and you'll see what I mean and will also get some good information.
The paper includes no information about the legal issues yet our site has two or three articles from employment attorney George Lenard on this topic and he's written more at his site, EmploymentBlawg.com.
I'd like a re-write of this white paper so that employers who have little to no experience using Facebook, MySpace, and LinkedIn will understand what the sites do, who uses them, and how the employers can and should use them to help them recruit Gen Y workers.
