here is some fast answer on Questions: 1-easy , we can read SPDR before transmission and store it value in veriable 2-if the MSB was sent first will be the LSB in shift register , we can do it by change abit in SPCR register : *pSPCR = 0b01010000 3- yes we could connect multiple shift registers to this SPI connection , and we can choose which one to communicate with by make slave select(SS) ground 4-no, it is not possible to send more than 1 byte at a time , because SPDR register is 8 bit (1 byte) register 5-easy 6-easy ,i can write function to do that i will be happy to work for you thank you
