Design a simple electronic circuit for combining three analogue signals. Item 1: Produce the circuit design - The three signals are very low-level, noisy sinusoids. They are to be combined to give a signal with better SNR. - The signals may have different amplitudes. - The input frequencies are low: around 2,000 Hz. - The signals are in phase, or 180 degrees out of phase (may have opposite sign). - The circuit should work for inputs over the range <0.1 mV up to 1000 mV. - Perhaps they can be added in quadrature: sqrt(A^2 + B^2 + C^2). The output should also be a sinusoid. Preferably at the same frequency. - Inputs to the circuit should be high impedance. - The circuit should work with 6 V power. - The circuit components should be as cheap as possible, for a consumable product. - Provide a listing of the components with supplier and prices. Item 2: Build the circuit (optional) - Build and test the circuit. - Provide some performance data.

Greetings, Based on my experience of Analog Circuits, I can tell you that this is not as simple as it looks. There are quite a few challenges involved - signal voltage range, filtering (for improving SNR) and some more. However one thing which is not clear is the operation that has to be done on the analog signals - do you want the Root of Squares OR you want them to be added in order to improve SNR - does it depend on the signal phase/amplitude etc ? This might require some discussion. I have quoted for Item 1 alone right now - but can do item 2 also - wanted to discuss with you before that. Look forward to hear from you. T & R Alok Pugalia

Hello, I am electronic engineering student telecommunications mention. I am finishing my career and I have worked a lot at the electronic labs. I have design circuits for am, FM modulators and I had to input two signals to test the mudulation of the signals with an ocilloscope. I can design you a circuit the components I use aren't so expensive like BJT, resistance, capacitors, potentiometers. maybe the most expensive could be an small coil but I almost never use that.

Hello. My name is Sergio, i am a Mechatronics engineer. Basically what you want to do is to add different signals, am i right? All you need is a summing-non-inverting amplifier and i can make you a design using operational amplifiers. They are very cheap. I can do it in 2 days, sending you a connection diagram using multisim (or a picture of all connections), a list of all required components and a description of how the circuit works. My Strong exposure to signal conditioning circuit development, especially on operational amplifiers, Instrumentation amplifiers would be an added advantage of this development. Worked in past for similar accuracy requirement, but for dc amplification application. But in specification, the range is 100uV as worrying part & definition of noisy sinusoid is missing (uV).

Good day! This can be done. How big should the output be? The small signals will be amplified and them summed. I have done similar projects before. Can I ask for what kind of a device are these signals, what will they be fed in to?
