Hi, Let me introduce you myself first. I`m Mechanical Engineer and currently working at local Oil refinery complex in Design and Development Division. I have read the requirements and am confident to solve the task. In order to proceed, you have already share the simple steps. For engineering analysis of new system, complete data of existing system is required couple with the requirements of proposed system. So, we can divide the job in 3 phases. Phase I = Engineering Analysis of current system (Thermodynamics mainly) that if there is a room to optimize the system. Phase II = Study of proposed system based on existing system (If phase I allows) Phase III = Integration of both the systems. I hope at this stage, I`m clear in the way forward of this job. Dear meblackburn123, my name is Marco Stoller, Assistant professor at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", Department of Chemical Engineering. I find this topic of interest since it fits well in my recent research work consisting to list all possible BAT (best available Technologies) for the PVC, VCM and EDC industries in Europe, in the framework of collaboration with a company and the EU, in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In particula we focused on heat and energy requirements, savings and recycling. We are capable to study your case, perform the required engineering, and design the new process line(s). We will give you the item list and p&i diagrams. How exactly we will proceed depends on the specific case, and this is not possible to evaluate from this proposal. I'm not in condition to judge if a dynamic model will be required to perform the requested revamping of your process. It depends also if you need to work only on the PVC section of your process, or a VCM/EDC section is available. I think that we may discuss these details in case of collaboration.
