Hello, I am interested in doing work for you. I converted few sites from old joomla version to latest 3.4 including components like virtuemart. I need to have a look at your site and make a list of all the extensions. It is time taken work and I do development on my server so your old site will continue to work. Yes, I prefer to start from scratch. Install fresh joomla latest version. Then only install all required extensions. Running script on existing website always takes time when something get stuck.
