I want someone to make an windows program or linux (Ubuntu) example 1: [Image: [login to view URL]] example 2: [Image: [login to view URL]] example 3: [Image: [login to view URL]] when i execute the program and it will crop the image and make it only contain the number, so the final result will be like this: (result of example 1) [Image: [login to view URL]] I dont need any GUI or user interface ,it may work for a specified image name in the same dir of the program, or it will take the image name from the parameter i lunch it with. I don't care what language / method you use to do the job. You will find the example images in the attachments

In the sample image, the "number" has a white background... I mean, there are more white areas when the cell contains numbers... if it is the case for all images, I think I can do it in 2 days. I am professor in image processing, so I know how to do it. Best Regards!.

Hi... what you need is a recognition software. i can write a python script which can recognize the patterns you want cropped just like i did one on my previous projects which can pick up a face from an image <- face detection.

Hi there. Your task seems to be quite easy so I can quickly help you with it. Also please specify which exactly region of image should be cropped? Will all images be the same size and you will need a fixed sized crop or the proportions of crop area will be calculated according to source image?

Fri, 19 Jun 2015 12:53:22 +0530 Do all files conform to same specification: ie number part in exactly same position? If you can upload a few more pictures with variable position of number (right - left offset or different magnification) a range can be decided. A Perl of shell( bash) script can do this. Can test on linux. If you prefer windows platform, perl modules may have to be installed.
