Reread Chapter 8 of the Linux Bible 2011 Edition: Boot up to Ubuntu, Fedora, KNOPPIX, Debian, openSUSE, and 13 Other Distributions, by Christopher Negus.
1) Rereread “Working with the Linux File System” and implement all the examples the authors go through in that section. Even if you have used Linux before, do not assume that you know them all – go through them, and you will probably learn something.
2) Rerereread “Working with the Linux File System” and implement all the examples using the Gnome (or other) GUI. Were there any commands you couldn’t mimic with Gnome? Were there any other difficulties or problems using Gnome?
3) Take some screen shots (2 or 3 of your choice) to show the results from implementing some of the commands.
