I have good experience of creating bash scripts. I offer you to make it even better for your requirements. I can create script which will do the following 1. Will run every 5 minutes through crontab and will check for PIDs close or above to n% CPU usage thrashold. 2. if the condition is true, It will not kill them but will schedule to run again after 1 minute(will repeate 3 times) and if CPU usage still close or above threshold it will kill the processes - Some processes sometimes consume cpu usage for a while and will free it after some time so no point of killing them immediately. 3. Properly log the killed processes so that you can check which processes have been killed and when. I can also create simple script to just kill those PIDs if you don't want above and can provide you in single day but for better one i will take my time of 7 days(as i am engaged with other projects also)
