Setting up your Synology would be my pleasure. I've deployed over 100 Synology NAS setups in my career. Ultimately the process will involve you providing the setup info (Name, Location, Network Info, etc.) and any additional apps you would like installed. Afterwards I will setup the VPN and the data backup (please determine backup type or I can make a suggestion based on number of drives).

I am very familiar with creating Site-Site VPNs and configuring backups over the VPN. I have also created similar setups utilizing Synology NAS's and others like QNAP, Netgear etc. In order for this to be successful, would prefer to know what Routing technology you are using for the Site-Site and what your backup solution is. If you are using native windows backups for the VMs running on your VMware or you are trying to backup leveraging some other type of backup software such as Veeam.
