Help with MS SQL 2008express to SQL 2012 full version

We have a medical software DB which ships with SQL Express 2008. Our DB grew to 14GB which meant we could not use SQL express 2008 so our old IT guys upgraded us to full version of MS SQL 2012. We now want to move this to a new server as we are having major issues in getting the system to work. We have a blank server where we have installed our medical software fresh copy - which means it has installed a SQL 2008 express as part of its install and a blank DB. I need someone to: 1. Install full version of MS SQL 2012 (evaluation copy is fine i will buy license later). 2. I have the current DB backup as a .bak file - restore that to the new server. 3. Test and make sure the medical software is able to see the db and works.
