Project Summary :
IE toolbar We need someone to write a IE toolbar in .net that is fully controlled by xml files. The php backend will generate an xml feed automatically for each user dynamically.
The user will first enter his login/password on the toolbar, this will passed to a specific PHP file which will true/false on sucess/failure. (a "remember me" functionality will store login/pass locally in some form of encryption and use it for autologin) and a logout button. When logs out himself the blank toolbar will remain with login boxes. If he has chosen remember me, he will see the login boxes already filled with his details.
If the login succeeds you will need to get an xml feed from the server for that user based on the user details. This XML will contain information on the elements of the toolbar.
All the inputs in that will come from xml, like name of the button, url where details are to be passed and associated images.
1.) Drop Down menus / Tree type links the menu will have sub menus and each of the item will have a small image associated to it, if there is no image, we use a default one or no image (similar to bookmark in IE favourites)
2.) Favourites / bookmarks which will have both text as well as images and will refer to a url. just like above but when the button "add to favourites" is clicked, it will pass the current url of the browser to our php file mentioned in the XML via query string.
3.) Text-box / button combination for search, this will have a text box with a light image in the background (as you see in Yahoo toolbars) and button besides it. On entering some text and pressing the button the toolbar will pass the details via query string to a url that you will get from XML.
4.) Simple Buttons : will be like above, images / text based button, on clicking them it will open a url.
