Create an ActiveX control that is used in a web page to:
Prevent the following keys from doing anything in Internet Explorer 6 and 7 but still allow the keys to be processed (sent to) Flash.
IE6 / IE7
alt - f opens file menu
alt - e opens edit menu
alt - v opens view menu
alt - a opens favorites menu
alt - t opens tools menu
alt = h opens help menu
alt - d highlights the URL bar
f1 - opens help dialog
f3 - opens find dialog box
f4 - opens the URL dropdown list
f6 - highlights the URL bar
F10 - highlights the file menu
F11 - opens full screen in ie6
IE7 specific
Ctrl - T - opens tab in ie7
Ctrl - J opens favourites in ie7
Ctrl = D - opens add to favourites
Requirements:
No hooks to be used to capture keystrokes.
Sub Classing the Internet Explorer WndProc would be acceptable.
Have provided a Flash Movie you can use to test the keys above. The flash will show each key combination you type on the keyboard. Where Internet Explorer also uses the keys above, the flash movie should function normally but Internet Explorer should ignore the keypress.
Additional Information:
This needs to be in an activex control because:
1: Needs to be deployed by visiting the web page. There is no possibility of installing a BHO.
2: We have a digital signature that we apply to the activex control to certify it comes from us to our customers.
3: This should only affect pages that have the activex control embbeded. As we do not know in advance who will use our control, it is difficult to acheive this with a BHO.
4: We already have an activex control which is performing other tasks on the page.
5: Our control is already trusted by users.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
