in your bid, please tell me the process to how you would implement the process describe below. for example: "I would use JavaScript to use a 3d pie graph that a user could select to go to the next screen ad then ....." We need a site for users to manage a large quantity of multiple choice data, in several layers of categories. So, for each item, on a traditional site, there might be 1 to even 20 choices, from which the user can multi select. There might be anywhere from 5-20 categories, with each category having these checkboxes, like a list of hobbies for example. The total number of checkboxes, separated into categories. THE CODER WE WILL CHOSE DEPENDS ON HOW WELL THEY CAN DO THIS GRAPHICALLY AND OPTIMIZE USABILITY.... I AM WILLING TO PAY EXTRA BECAUSE THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME So we believe that maybe a clever combination of tabs, mouse overs, mouse hovering, auto expansion for mouse overs, and so forth, could eliminate a few levels of clicking through the hierarchy. Yes, i could accept that eventually a user might get to checkboxes but if we can reduce the number of clicks to get to a SMALL set of checkboxes, thats OK. It must be slick, pretty, even enticing. It must be very "Apple" -- or even better! One thought: perhaps the highest level of categories is a pie chart. Perhaps hovering over a slice long enough zooms in to reveal more slices, and then you click on one. Perhaps from there there are just one set of tabs and from there you have a smaller set of checkboxes. We are fully open to other ideas. but we LOVE pie charts if it would help at all Here is the real challenge..... if Flash is required to do this, so be it, but there must be a just as good non-flash interface to But if it can be done in JavaScript and still look sharp, that would be preferable. There will be a user login page, followed by the innovative method to drill down through the first few levels, until the user reaches traditional form fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, etc.
