Flash-based virtual magazine system

We would like a web-based system building that will enable us to create Flash-based virtual magazines using a PDF file as an input. Some existing companies offering the same service: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] Here are a few more details: 1. The system must allow for hyperlinks out from the Flash magazine to advertisers' sites and so forth. These hyperlinks and hit areas would be gathered from the PDF document. 2. The system must track which pages a user has viewed in the magazine, and track clickthrough rates for adverts within the magazine. 3. System must use vector text and line art where possible. It must not simply convert each page to a Jpeg. 4. The page turning effects are required (see below for info). 5. We would much, much prefer a system that ran on a Windows server (in any language). 6. Magazine must be searchable. 7. The system should, for each magazine, create a thumbnail-sized animated GIF that shows the first few pages turning. 8 The interface to the system should be a single web page, with a file upload system to upload the original PDF document. The system should then: a) create the Flash magazine and make it available at a URL b) notify the user of the system by email when the job is complete. Some helpful hints: 1. Flash page turning effects are readily available, such as [this][1]. 2. Macromedia have their own FlashPaper format, which is similar to PDF. It might be fairly trivial to convert from PDF to FlashPaper (giving you a SWF file with vector text and line art), which could then be expanded upon. Please ask any questions you may have. I understand that this is a complex project, and the price reflects that. Please provide examples of your previous work if possible. UPDATE: In addition to the above, we would require twice-weekly updates on your progress. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
