Hi, we have a custom built PHP/MySQL admin system. At the moment, it runs very slowly when the internet connection is poor, even though the actual page size is small because the SQL queries being used to communicate with the database are not optimized as they are using the while-loop syntax when retrieving the rows from the database. On a fast connection ??" this is not too much of an issue, but on a poor connection the problem is greatly magnified.
The Server itself can make the page very quickly on the remote server. The small page size (about 50k) can be downloaded quickly as a static page. Problems occurs when the dynamic page is downloaded on poor connection - combined with the non-optimized DB issue. What I would like to do is produce the entire output page code on the remote server, before downloading it, like a static file. I'm not sure if this is even possible, but I think it would dramatically increase speed.
