We have a slideshow on the home page of our website using a 3rd party routine.? Problem is that it slows down the menuing system we are using.? It appears that until most or all images have been displayed, you can not get a response by clicking on the menu options.
We'd like some type of slide show, scrolling banner, or most anything with animation which will not hold up the menuing.

## Deliverables
We think the problem is that part of the menuing system is accesses at the top of the page, the slide show comes in the middle of the page, and the final calls to the menuing comes at the bottom of the page. We think the menuing can not be accessed until the bottom of the page code has been executed, which is delayed by the slide show needing to be completed first. In some of the proposals: We are a little concered that some people want to replace the slide show we have with some sort of new slide show code. Since the slide show is in the middle of the menu code perhaps that is delaying the menu. We are not convinced that a simple replacement with new code will fix the problem unless there is some sort of delay built into the new code that would allow the menu to load first. If we go with new slide show code we would like it to be placed in a folder that we can tell the search engines not to spider.
