I have an existing website that is simply an on-line application.
Applicants are asked to fill in the fields, some of which are mandatory, and upload their resume, personal statement and photograph.
Some of the fields are apparently mandatory, but should not be. I would like these made into not mandatory fields. The 'alternate email address' and 'employer' fields should NOT be mandatory.
The upload fields are giving error messages stating that the document must be *.doc even though the documents are .doc. (unless they are *.docx and that is the problem)
The photographs are also giving an error message that seems inconsistent.
I have attached the website with the fields filled in, and the error messages that the responses generated.
I also attached the instructions that were sent to me by a previous coder who failed to correct these issues. This includes the web address, the email address to which the submitted applications must be sent and the details of the webhosting site.
I would like to have the indicated fields made not mandatory, the range of acceptable documents and photographs expanded to include the files that I submitted and detailed instructions on how to make additional changes by myself in the future.
I must emphasize that ADDITIONAL CHANGES MAY BE NEEDED AFTER THE CORRECTIONS ARE MADE DEPENDING ON THE FUNCTION OF THE WEBSITE. WHILE I DO NOT ENVISION ANYTHING EXTENSIVE (OR ANYTHING ADDITIONAL) AT THIS TIME, I WILL EXPECT THE PROGRAMMER CHOSEN TO MAKE THESE CHANGES UNDER THIS SAME BID CONTRACT.
