Serial Number Database

I want to create database program that will run in windows without the needed for access/open office etc. I want a program that will allow the entry of equipment information, serial numbers, model details, purchase dates, a note section and a unique key (from asset label stickers). I want the database to be searchable by serial number, key, model/manufacture etc Ideally i would like to be able to customise the colours (but not particually important) but mainly customise a company logo/splash screen. I would also like a sort of about box/page with my details. I hope to distribute the program to companies who i provide security marking services for so they can inventory their stock I am not really bothered how the application is run (ie browser vs desktop app, VB vs mySQL etc) so long as it is complete and i can install it on a clients machine and they can run it to input equipment data and then search for the data when necessary to locate a particular piece of euipment from a serial number, model number, purchase date etc. I would like a splash screen with my logo and company details (which I would supply) when the program loads and then an area for the using companies logo (something like a set 300x200 pixel area so the logo can be changed from company to company if you understand. I would also be happy for an author credit to be included if you wished. I did not really have a time scale in mind at the moment as I am putting together the business. Is there anything that needs to be done for me to make a charge for supplying the software. It is possible to catalog the data in a spreadsheet but i would like to offer a neater but chargable solutin to my customers if they would like. Thanks Nick Munday ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows, most likely xp.
