I have done many web scraping projects before, using C/C++ on Windows PCs. The key issue is regarding "find products online" - do you mean find the price of the item on a pre-defined small set of sites or do you mean find the price on *any* site. If you mean find the price on *any* site then there are some interesting problems to do with locating a single price on an unknown web page where there may be multiple other prices for related products. This could be an interesting challenge (which I like). My bid is provisional - I would need to know more details in order to nail down a price.
