Alwatan Units Job type: consultation Consultation description: Alwatan Units Company is specialized in manufacturing unified reinforced precast walls that contains internal cavity to provide effective insulation. The internal cavity allows an easy installation of electric wires and pluming. The precast wall contains 50kg of steel to ensure a structural steel and durability. The company is seeking a Structural/Civil engineer that can assist in identifying solutions to the following obstacle: - The precast walls get connected side by side where a gap appears after the connection between the walls is made (Joint gap); where we apply joint covering material to abolish the joint gap. Due to the heat and cold factor, the gap between the connections experiences a small crack in the joint that is visible inside and outside the house. The company is seeking a long term alternative methods to resolve this issue. The following are some solutions tried by the company and the result was very minimal: o Joint rubber sealant (not working with plastering and paint) o OPC cement o Non-shrinking grout o Plastic wire mesh tape o Steel putty paste Desired skills Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer construction experience, precast experience.
