When my Python program is executed on Windows, an empty Tkinter window pops up during execution (at about the 70% progress mark), and freezes the program. Python itself doesn't show an error or exception, the program simply seems to give up at a certain point. The issue only occurs on Windows, not on Mac. .
I cannot (yet) provide the code due to confidentiality reasons, but it looks like a straightforward case of a some small redesign of queuing of processes.
If you can take a look at it within the next few hours, we can work together. Standard stuff for someone with Tkinter and cross-platform experience. And a 25% bonus will paid if we can get it resolved today.
In your proposal, ask me at least one question about the task, so I know you've fully read the description.
Hi Sir/Madam,
I'm expert in Python programming and I have experience working with GUI apps for all three OSs. Can You share some more details, or maybe send a code to look at it? I have free time, so I can finish it in next 24 hours.
Best regards,
Fejs.
many years in python development made me a good programmer today.
i'm certain i can help you to solve this problem in no time.
i've used tkinter a lot before for many of my programs and i got to know the tool.
if i may ask, what does this program do?, doccument creation? data procesing? http stuff?
Hi,
I've developed quite a lot applications using Python(Tkinter, pyqt, pygame). I've gone through your requirement and I am well able to resolve your problem.
If you're interested, do message me. we can short it out in a matter of time.
thanks
Hi! I can help you with this. Contact me if yo want to continue sharing details about it.
Thank you very much
Can I get s screenshot about the pop up window? Thank you
Generally speaking, most platform dependent TKinter issues hide out in the main loop of your program. All the widget drawing functionality is pretty well standardized by the TKinter/TK guys. There are some issues that can crop up if your program does an operation that blocks the main loop (extensive database calls, any sort of long I/O). I'd be happy to take a look at it for you.
I fought many long battles with Tkinter before moving on the Qt, and GTK+. I still have a few tricks that may be able to help you out though.
it seems this is the issue because of Tkinter version .
python doesn't get stuck because of OS.
i can suggest you try with different version [32 and 64 bit both] and check python and TKinter both have
same bits [32 or 64] installation.
if still issue occur then i can help you, but i required the code also.
if you need some small help you can ping me :)
Thanks

Hi,
you can provide more information about the problem? The solution would need to check the source code or the classes and methods involved in the issue.
