Ruby Amazon AWS SQS Daemon

I need a multi-threaded daemon to process Amazon SQS notifications using the AWS SDK. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] The message contents are XML. The daemon needs to run 24/7 and process all the notifications. It must be able to process 25,000+ per hour. The notifications contain current pricing information for Amazon items (ASIN's). I need only the most current pricing information for each ASIN saved to MySQL, as determined by the timestamp contained within the notification. So only update MySQL if the timestamp is greater than the previous saved data for the ASIN. I will provide an AWS API key for development/testing. The test account receives 3000 to 5000 notifications per hour. I am a PHP coder and I've already written this in PHP and it was only a few lines of code, less than 100. But PHP does not have true multi-threading support so it was not fast enough with a single-thread. Hence this project I'm posting now. I presume Ruby should be relatively few lines of code as well, and only take a few hours of your time. So keep your bids realistic. I WILL NOT PAY THE MAXIMUM BUDGET for this project.
