I have a retail business in Australia which I want to relaunch with the new emphasis being on taking the business online in as many directions as possible, and create as much public awareness and community building as I can.
One of my first priorities is to employ a Community Manager to promote our business, but before I do that I want to create a strategy so give he/she a roadmap to follow.
As it currently exists, our business has just signed up to Infusionsoft, which we plan to use for our CRM, for quoting, and for email marketing campaigns, and this will be located at the hub of this digital business strategy, with paths to all the important platforms, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc, researched and indexed, as well as the required consideration put into our product line, taking online payments, our accounting and our banking, and the necessary marketing strategy, comprising SEO, email marketing, and social media. We expect to be operating in several currencies within the next 12-24 months, and I have established a banking package that will allow this to happen. In addition to AUD $, we plan to start subdomains to take orders in USD $, GBP £, SIN $, MYR, and HKD $.
In addition to Infusionsoft we plan to use eWay as our payment gateway provider, NAB as our banking platform, and Xero as our accounting package. Our website is in Wordpress. An understanding of all these would be helpful.
I also want to provide my products to an expanded international market, and creating symbiotic relationships with similar businesses, and/or suppliers, and this needs to be researched.
I also want to consider the necessary expansions this will require, what sort of expanded capacity this will demand, and the necessary levels of stock we will be required to finance.
I also want to produce an app for my business.
I want all this both in writing, and the strategy conceptualized in a map or a flowchart, so that I can easily see and understand not only which steps lead to which, but also which steps come first.
I would like to examine the digital strategies used by my most successful competitors, and perhaps "blend" these to create a template for ourselves, and obviously improve on them where we can.
The final part of this project is to help me give birth this new level of my business by setting up with me the required social media accounts and other affiliated accounts, and linking them all together where they should be linked together.
As a final word, whilst I want this project and the necessary research to be thorough and to not miss out on anything, I really do not want it to be overly complex or complicated. I have always believed that to make things happen as easily as possible in business, they also need to be as simple as necessarily possible. Think in a straight line please.
