. Description of Project: A. A Python script to create images for display on sites. 1. Typical batch size would be anywhere from 1 done at the command line to 200 done in a batch. 2. Skills Needed: a. Python 2.7 (latest version) (Please advise if you feel Python [login to view URL] is absolutely needed). b. Image manipulation in Python - Pillow (Perhaps cv2 and numpy as well). i. Watermarking ii. Filter creation *. Sepia Tone iii. Overlay “Filter” *. Style using image + opacity level (e.g. Flag overlay) iv. Text creation (taking text and rendering it as an image) c. Creating Command Line tools. d. Reading and Writing to CSV files. 3. Input would be in the form of the following: a. Frame Template File (“Image Frame” final image pixel location description template for use by script) b. Settings File (image, e.g. filters: historical, frame, e.g. color), (text file or CSV) c. Image (images for processing) d. Data (available from the user at command line or in CSV file) e. Commands (command line or in CSV file ) 4. Output would be in the form of the following: a. Directory containing: i. Batch log (text file) ii. Finished images w/ naming convention iii. CSV file 5. Algorithm would be something like the following: a. Read commands b. Open Image c. Properly size image d. Apply Filter to image e. Create canvas f. Place Image on canvas in image section g. Place Headline on canvas in text section h. Place Body Text on canvas in text section i. Place Attribution line on canvas in text section j. Export file. k. Open CSV file l. Write line in CSV. m. Close CSV file. B. Environment: 1. Apple desktop (likely for testing initially). 2.
