We are a market research company in the medtech area and have just finished data collection for an online survey of 100 physicians.
The survey lasted about 15 minutes and consists of about 40 questions, including 7 screener questions. Our client has asked us to separate the data into two groups, one using any amount of Product A in the past 12 months and the other using any other combination of products but not having used Product A in the past 12 months. This can be easily cross-tabulated.
In the questions following the screener, respondents were asked to rate attributes of their favourite product, chosen in a previous question. I would now need to test for any statistical differences, I have already finalised tables and charts, however, need to test for any statistical significance within the samples.
As an example, question x asks the respondent to rate importance of attributes (11 attributes in total) of their chosen product on a scale of 0-100. 100 has to be given only once, with no other attributes receiving the same rating twice. the higher the number, the more important the attribute is in the respondent's purchasing decision.
As described above, I am looking for any statistical differences within these data points, grouped into two groups. This type of question appears seven times in different shapes.
Another sample question asks the respondent to rate on a scale from 1 to 7 how the product's attributes (11) is performing to others currently on the market. Again, divided into two groups.
I have to mention that Product A is used by more than 80% of respondents, so the sample size fro the second group is rather small.
I understand that my description above is insufficient to get a whole picture, but I hope that following on from this and you being able to provide stat. significance testing, I will be able to fill you in a bit more.
