English to French Translator

Our company seeks writers with good English and French skills to translate how-to articles to French. Articles range in length, but average around 60-800 words. You need to have excellent French grammar and spelling, and very good English comprehension. Computer translated articles will not be accepted. We are not seeking word-for-word, literal translations. Instead, we want you to write in natural sounding French using the English content as source material. The goal of this project is to create fully localized content that is helpful and reads naturally to French readers - we do not want articles that track the grammar, phrasing, or idioms of English. Contractors who do a good job and deliver articles reliably will be offered regular work. The first stage of the job is a 3 article test (3 $10.00 articles) , which is what you are bidding on here. Good performance on the test will lead to you being offered additional work on similar articles and rate. We have a thousands of articles to translate, and can offer continuous work to those who reliably produce quality articles. As part of your application, we would like you to rewrite this short sample in natural-sounding French. Those writers who do a good job with this will be offered a chance to complete the paid test.
