Hello!
My name is Rebecca and I was born and raised in Sweden. I moved to the US when I was 20 in order to go to university. My degree is in psychology and linguistics from UCLA, and after getting my BA I moved back to Sweden and worked as an in-house translator and research assistant in Gothenburg, Sweden for 7 years. One of my main responsibilities was to translate scientific articles for publication from Swedish to English, and to prepare them for publishing. I also created and managed their websites.
I currently work out of my home in Croatia where I moved to live a life with horses, special needs children and nature. This enables me to control my own time and to be able to guarantee that deadlines are met.
When I begin a new project, I always thoroughly research the subject matter in order to make sure I can accurately use relevant terminology. I have a significant network of specialists in varied fields (photography, computer science, software development, business, linguistics and psychology) in case I need professional input on correct word usage.
I am completely in control of my hours, I am very flexible, and my TAT can be very short. In case of issues arising, I am very communicative. I never hesitate to ask questions if instructions are unclear.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Rebecca
