Hi there,
After reviewing the brief, I would like to put myself forward for this project. I'm a Spanish native speaker and qualified translator EN>ES.
My field of expertise is subtitling as I've been doing so for Coursera (Education and less formal videos for wide audiences) and for TED among other platforms. I can translate the content as requested but I also like to offer the whole Subtitling process, by using subtitling tools in order to add the subtitles to the video.
This is important because I first identify the entrance and exit times of the subtitles, calculating the minimum and maximum duration times. Then I can adapt my translation to the original content, adjusting it to fit in with the duration of the subtitle.
I have experience in several industries such as Education, Health & Science, Arts & Crafts, but I have done a lot of non-formal subtitling, and I'm a native speaker! So slang is certainly not a problem for me!
In addition, I use Machine Translation post-editing to ensure there are no grammatical mistakes, but I proofread and review the translations myself make sure the human factor is there and the meaning is translated accurately taking the culture and the area of expertise into consideration.
I will not stop working until you are satisfied and will offer high quality translation at a competitive rate.
Let’s discuss via chat so that I can know more about your project and adjust my bid by discussing it together.
