This is a part-time programming job for a nearby Rice startup company. The goal is to develop a web-based user interface for a large system of remote wireless sensor networks. The sensor data is uplinked to a MySQL database on a web server and a web page displays the sensor data and map locations. The job requires experience with SQL, C++, JSON and PHP. Depending on the applicant's time and experience, the project will evolve into development of Android and iPhone apps and migrating the system to AWS. Other goals include applications to allow near real-time interaction with the remote sensors, applications for predictive maintenance and local intelligence, and the ability for a user to create customized add-on apps to process the sensor data.
