Website page to pull excel info and Chatter

Hello, I am a professional PHP developer who is on vacation right now and looking for some extra work! I read the requirements for your page and everything is doable, but my advice would be to not use wordpress for it. The WP is a heavy application with a lot of files, open-source (so in the future you will need to constantly update so you dont get hacked) etc etc. Your page is pretty simple and can be done with pure php, maybe with codeigniter framework, it will be light and fast and nobody will know your code. Also, you can resell it because the copyrights will be all yours. I assume I can create the page for a day or two, after you provide all the information needed.
