Video player with preview function for Wordpress

We need either custom video player or modification of one of the popular video players for Wordpress (preffered) to be able to play video file only number of seconds before it shows a notice that subscription is needed to play the full video. We have a subscription-based website. The idea is to use the same video that's available to members and only show 20 or so seconds on the beginning. The solution must be prone to sniffing, which means that player only buffers number of seconds required for preview and visitors can't sniff out (or make it very hard) the whole video URL - this is open for debate, though. Videos are stored in a directory protected via .htpasswd. What we don't need is to integrate this with Wordpress membership function, as we do not use it. We have 2 separate WP installations, one for front, the other for members.
