HCS12 Boot Loader / Flash over CAN

The project is to create a boot loader / CAN flasher software for the Motorola HCS 12 MCUs. I have a software application which runs on a Freescale HCS12 MCU. In the moment it is a D64 MCU, it may be ported to a -128 or -256 type with multiple CAN Buses. What I need is a bootloader + flash software which enables those devices to be flashed over CAN bus with my (application) software. In the moment I see the following requirements: - The boot loader has to be resident in flash. - It has to be possible to change and store some persistent configuration data for the bootloader at runtime (over CAN), as we have multiple nodes on the same CAN bus. - It has to be possible to invoke boot loader or flash software from my software as well as boot loader has to be active for a short period of time after reset. - When invoked, boor loader will receive a firmware image which will be transmitted over CAN bus, check the firmware image and write it into the MCU's flash. - Flash protocol has to be error tolerant and robust. - Firmware image has to be sent from a windows application. The following tasks are also parts of this bid: - My software application has to be relocated to another location in flash (support/assistance needed). - Demo code for a windows application (call it CANFlasher) has to be created (hardware interface not needed, this is outside the scope of this bid). There are some other specs, mainly the definition of the can messages which should be used, which will be discussed as soon as the concept will be refined. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): Complete CodeWarrior Project, ready to be flashed via BDM interface, Complete windows demo code for flasher application. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
